Goodbye Eunhye and Gym!

Anjong,

during my last monday I had to say goodbye to Eunhye and to the gym. I know, crazy mixture, but sometimes you can't choose.

Kelly - 2pm Taecjeon Pizza

Anjong,

yesterday I met with Kelly to say goodbye before I leave again for germany! We met in Seomyeon and wanted to have lunch. Of course we thought about chicken.... but suddenly the 2pm Pizza came across my mind!

Yes, He is even on my cellphone. (it is the "Men's Health" special cover)

Big Showdown in Seomyeon!

Anjong,

yesterday it was the final weekend night for me in Busan! And it was as big as I expected! All my favorite people came to say me goodbye!

New day - new goodbye, what about the cherries?!

Anjong,

after the exiting travels with Robert and Marlena I have to face the fact, that I am leaving Busan in a week.

So I really scheduled this last week to say as many people as I can one last goodbye. And still it doesn't feel like goodbye for forever...

These cherries I got as a present in my favorite cafe Tokyoloose. In literature people say, that they represent information and communication. I don't know what they tried to tell me, maybe goodbye. Or maybe they wanted to give me a very special service, because fruits are so damn expensive in Korea!

Batu Caves - KL

Hai,
on our last day in KL we decided to do a little trip to the Batu Caves. In this impressive caves is a little temple which was not so special, but the caves itself were so significant!  I think they were the highest grotto I have ever been inside.

286 stairs up to the caves!

Hometown greetings!

Anjong,

traveling asia I got a cute surprise from my hometown friends Natze and Jose!

I was so happy to see them and to get the pictures kkk I had tears in my tiny eyes kkkkk

I really look forward to see them again! Just a few weeks and we will see each other again!

Petronas Twin Towers! - KL

Hai,

at the first day in KL we wanted to visit the twin towers, but there were no cards available any more.... So we bought two cards for the next day. We had to pay 20€ per person. I was shocked at the moment they told us the entrance fee.... In Berlin you have to pay 12€ for the Fernsehturm, thats the reason why I never was there... in Paris you have to pay 6€ for the Eifel tower. Anyway, I thought there is nothing else in KL you can visit, so maybe it is super cool!

Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur - First imrpession

Hai,

finally I can start to write what I did in Kuala Lumpur besides jogging during the night meeting strangers for dinner and alcohol!

We started our tour with an 1 hour ride from the airport (LCC Terminal - Stands for Low Cost!) Thats why it is so far away from the city.... Like in germany Düsseldorf - Weeze...hahaha Anyway, it was just around 18€ to get to our Hotel by taxi. After checking in the "Royal Bintan Hotel" (Room 1111) kkkkk we decided to start our sightseeing, even if we were a little bit tired because of two very short nights in Siem Reap.

Fish massage!

Hai,

on our last day in Cambodia we had a relaxing night again... We started with a shower in the hotel, because you are sweaty all the time... Maybe you saw on my pictures, that I was shiny all over....

Anyway afterwards we went to a fish massage shop near the Pub Street.

Siem reap - Angkor Thom - Tomb Raider

Hai,

next to the epic Angkor Wat there is a whole temple city - Angkor Thom. In there are ten temples and lots of other stuff.  Our driver took us to nearly every temple during the day. It was incredible stuff I saw there.

For me the best thing was, that Lara Croft alias Angelina Jolie fought her biggest fights in this scenery. I was so exited to  see all the broken temples and the trees growing on the thousand year old walls.

Malaysia - 5 old men in the middle of the night and nowhere

Hai,

this morning me and Marlena took our flight to Malaysia! Of course we saw a lot of stuff today and it feels again, like I have left Cambodia for weeks, but before I start to write about the tourist attractions we saw, the food we ate and of course the weather..... I have to tell you the most incredible story I think I experienced in the last few years.

After feeling NOT so much warmhearted welcomed in Malaysia I went jogging in the middle of the night....I know, that arabian people are not really impolite. It is just the way they are when they want be first at the counter or scream as loud as they can in the hotel lobby to get their friends attention, who is at the other side of the lobby, but I had to get used to it.
Of course I was tired, but I wanted to work out and to see some parts of the city I didn't know..... Like a safari....

In every holiday till now it has been amazing to explore the city while running. You see so many places you would never find with an tourist bus or travel agency. Maybe they are not so special, but to get to know the culture a little bit better it is pretty good! An this time I learned so much about Malaysian people and their culture and the way they are.

I started at 00:30am for my run.... and after about 2 hours I admitted myself, that I had lost my way.... It was the first time, that I could not track which way to go except the one I came. but If I would have run the same way back that I came from, I would be at the hotel maybe half past five in the morning. The worst feeling was, that I knew Marlena would ask herself, if I am okay.... just with my room key in my pocket, without any money or anything else I thought about how to get home..... I was lost in an pretty lonely area, without any traffic (so no taxi) and mostly no people on the streets.... After about 5 min more running I saw a little (kind of) shop with its shutter half open and five elderly men sitting at a plastic table on plastic chairs drinking some undefinable alcohol, smoking some shisha and eating some malay food. (three of them were indian people and I think two were Malay, all aged about 50-60years)

And they were talking pretty loud, that is why I heard them.....

Anyway I thought if I would not ask them now I would run the two hours my way back to the hotel....

I gathered all my courage and went there pretty slowly and out of breath, sweaty all over.... As they noticed me coming closer to their small clan in the ground floor of some old house (looked like a closed butchery) they looked at me pretty curious.
I felt totally in the wrong place and in the wrong time..... Me in my blue Nike (Blitz) outfit and my running shoes being observed by 5 old men smoking shisha in their long, dark, arabian style robes.

After a few seconds I asked them in the most politest (and I think for them in the cutest) way where I am, because I got lost in this city while running. They started to smile at me and one of them just said:" No worries my friend, come and eat with us.... the night is young" I was a little bit confused, but didn't wanted to refuse the offer. But I told them, that my friend was waiting for me and is maybe sick of thinking where the hell I am.... But they just said, calm down, here is a drink.... My friend is a taxi driver, I will call him after you finished your meal. I told them, that I even have no money just the key.... But again I should not worry about anything. Life is too short for worries. I felt so warm hearted in this moment, that I just let go and joined their talk about the world and the universe. One of them even gave me a blanket, because he was afraid that I catch a cold because of the air condition was drying my sweaty body. Of course I had to tell them everything about my life in Korea and how I came to Kuala Lumpur. They listened very quietly to my story and of course to the german football league (I know, that I know like nothing, but they were interested in what club my Dad is crazy about... of course Bayern München...). After I had to tell them about my family and my and how it is - "Family-life" - in germany we talked about different religions, ways of living and many more...

I got a few shots of the undefinable alcohol which burned pretty hard in my throat and I had to take some shisha - inhalations. After finishing my meal (vegetables and meat) they called their friend to take me back to my hotel. They even gave me the money to go home. I never, really never expected so much love from five strangers in the middle of the night in Kuala Lumpur. I joined them in the end for one hour, but I did not feel the hurry from before in my body.

It is like I see the people now with different eyes. I can't imagine a place I would think to get so much support and love at the same time from complete strangers.

While writing this I thought, that this is so unbelievable, that I should maybe stop to write..... But I have to write it down, even for my memories. I hope I will never forget this feeling sitting in this small, dirty, mostly damaged room with some food, alcohol, a shisha and five old men from different countries and religions...They didn't care about my nationality, my religion or my way of life. That was so impressive!

Siem Reap - Angkor Wat

Suasdey,

one of the most amazing things I have ever seen!

Angkor Wat!

Marlena and me got up at 4am to go there before sunset. We wanted to see this amazing architecture touching the first light of a new day. And we did it! our TukTuk driver got us at 5am from the hotel and after 30 min ride we arrived at the temple. Our driver took us around the whole day for just 12$! He was pretty nice, even drinking water was inclusive kkkk

Phnom Penh - Flicks Cinema

Suasdey,

for the evening we planned to meet a guy from the dormitory in Korea. Mike is from Phnom Penh and he is pretty funny. So we just catched up for a drink in the evening. It was very nice to talk to a local human being kkkkk

Yes, this is a cinema!

NOM - breakfast time

Suasdey,

if you want to get good breakfast go to „NOM“ in street 310 (at the beginning oft he street!). It is a western coffee and cake shop but they also prepare Khmer food for lunch and breakfast. It is kind of a architecture cafe/restaurtant. The house is very stylish and so ist he food.

Phnom Penh - Killing Fields

Suasdey,

after the pretty nice breakfast we went to one of Cambodias most terrifying and historical important areras. The „Killing Fields“!
Maybe I should tell you about the story of Cambodia first, because I think nearly nobody of you knows something about what had happened here in the past.

Phnom Penh - Central market

Suasdey,

one thing you can do in Phnom Penh is to visit the markets. The first market we saw was the „Old market“. Andy es, it seems pretty old. There are just umbreallas with the shops underneath. And what they sell I think no european stomach could work with....

Except the street-food bananas!

Cambodia Spa night - Manicure / Massage / Meal / Muscle

Suasdey,

the second night in Phnom Penh was really relaxing for us! We started after the temple and palace day with a short and not so good 2$ manicure and a long and very good massage! I booked a full body treatment with some lemon grass oil! It was one hour for approximately 20€. For cmbodian prices it was one of the not so cheap ones... The prices differ from 3$ to 50$. So we were in the middle of the price list. The cute cambodian girl treated me very very well.... I enjoyed the time and it was the first massage I didn't think about the time which already passed. I can totally recommend this Spa.

Phnom Penh - Monk talk!

Suasdey,

yesterday Marlena and me started our tourist tour in Phnom Penh. We wanted to see as much as possible of this wonderful city! During the day I felt more and more comfortable walking around. The TukTuk drivers always asked us if we wanted to go somewhere, especially the killing fields (because there are kind of far away), but they are not as brashy as the guys in Thailand (who really try to walk with you and keep on talking and talking and talking.....)

They just ask with a smile.....

Cambodia - Dawoon - Phnom Penh

Suasdey,

yesterday I arrived in cambodia, exactly in the capital city "Phnom penh" the first noticeable thing was, that they pay in US-Dollar and in Riel. The small bills are Riels and the big ones US - Dollar.... so you can pay mixed.... kind of confusing in the beginning.... it is also the first country which needed a visum .... you can get it at the airport for 20$! Looks pretty cool in the passport...kkkkk

Singapore Avatar World - Gardens by the bay

Hai, Hello, வணக்கம் [wanakkam], ni hao!

another futuristic place in Singapore ist he „Gardens by the bay“! It just opened two weeks ago and it looks like the Avatar-planet. They build up fake trees where you can go up to check out the whole park. By the way the costs to build the park have been 1 Billion US-Dollar! So expensive!

Singapore - Traditional coffee

Hai, Hello, வணக்கம் [wanakkam], ni hao!

in Singapore most oft he stuff you can discover is pretty new, modern, stylish and very expensive!

Marlena and me found a cute, classic, oldfashioned coffe house which serves traditional singaporian coffee. I know, that it is probably just fort he tourists, but the coffee, the food and the desserts were singaporian style and seriously very good!

Singapore - Skyline - Hotel - Theatre - Museum

Hai, Hello, வணக்கம் [wanakkam], ni hao!

yesterday we arrived in Singapore and it is amazing! I envy Marcius living over here!

Of course the most characterizing thing is the big "Marina Bay Sands Hotel" It is kind of a magical building which wants to make you believe, that there is a ship flying over three skyscrapers.... Even during the night!
The whole "Marine harbor" sight is amazing! We walked around the whole day and took like millions of pictures....

Olango Island - Cebu - Philippines

Mabuhay!

Today I can post the first time from the Philippines! Even if I had to create again a new blog, because I had to upload so many pictures in the last 3 month I don't care about that, because I am in Cebu!
